"Annabell is one of 4 children born to William Thomas Gibbons (son of Allen Gibbons and Anna Lisa Luther Gibbons) and Florence Harris Gibbons. Annabell was born on October 16, 1924 [actually, 15 Oct 1920 in Clay County, Indiana], in Jay, Oklahoma where she met her husband, Ray Woods. The couple had 4 children together and settled in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, where she worked with her husband in construction and raised her family. Annabell was a very loving, kind, giving, humble Christian woman and wonderful mother and grandmother. She died in May of 1983 and is greatly missed and remembered by all." |

"[The photo was] probably taken in summer of 1920 or the spring of 1921. I don't recognize the house, but the pictures were probably taken on the front porch of their home in the 2600 block of North 2nd Street in Milwaukee.
>From the left, Theodore is holding Ralph Danielsen and Hellen Mauntler. Anna is holding my father, Warren Danielsen, who was born in February 1920. Theodore had 2 daughters, Alma Mauntler and Adeline Danielsen. Alma Mauntler and her family lived across the street on the west side of North 2nd Street.
I remember, as a small child in the 1940's going to Christmas parties at her house. Anna, the Krumsiegs (Theodore's children), Mauntlers and Danielsen would be there for a large family gathering. There large amounts of good food, wine and after dinner the men would go into the living room and smoke cigars. They would speak both English and German. And, of course, argue about politics."
