p. 1353 . . . Besides the Church Book there is a Register of Births, the first entry in which is "Richard the son of Richard and Rosamond Penrose, was born 6 September 1798 in the parish of Redruth, Registered July 3, 1807 by me W. H, Rowe."
Extraction from a book about Baptist Churches, Redruth made by Romania D. Miller, during a British Ancestors Tour. She noted that: "This is the only record of birth we have for Richard Penrose, father of C W, Penrose. We have a chr from the Church of England 16 Sept 1798. We feel that this is the actual date of his birth and should be recorded on the group sheet where he appears both as a child and also the sheet where he appears as a husband."
