"Haskel Calvin Deal, 67, of Kannapolis, a native of Alexander County, died early this morning in a Concord Hospital. He had been in declining health for several months, and seriously ill for six weeks. He was born Aug. 12, 1902, to the late Oscar S. Deal and Annie Holbook Deal. He was retired from Cannon Mills of Kannapolis after 35 years of service. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Campbell Deal; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Margaret Fox of Kannapolis; three sons, Charles M. Deal and Joel Deal, both of the home; and Michael Deal of Fort Bragg; two sisters, Mrs. Mary D. Wilson of Kannapolis, and Mrs. G. L. Marlowe of Concord; and a grandchild."
