WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mr. John Philip Gress, 67, of Waynesboro, Pa., passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, in Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill, Pa.
Born Sept. 18, 1942, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Mrs. Laura K. (Fisher) Gress of Waynesboro and the late Philip N. Gress.
He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
Mr. Gress graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1960. He later went on to study engineering.
His wife of 45 years, Mrs. Jean L. (Baker) Gress, died May 4, 2006.
Mr. Gress was employed as an engineer for Litton Manufacturing, Waynesboro, for more than 26 years. He retired in 1986.
He was a member of Antique Auto Association, Train Collectors Association and served on the board of directors for Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
Mr. Gress enjoyed restoring antique cars, visiting antiques shops and collecting toy trains. |
