• Notes

  In the 1900 and the 1920 Census the family is living in Sullivan Township, Muskegon, Michigan. In the 1900 Census Josephine says she has only had 7 children and all 7 are alive and accounted for. There is a 1910 Census record for a Charles age 44 and Josephine age 53 with one daughter Mabel born about 1897. I do not believe that this is the same family. In the 1920 Census there are three men living next door. The Head of the family is Arthur scratched out with Elmer written over that name age 28 indicating born about 1892, the next man is Arthur age 25 born about 1895, and the last is Elmer age 17 born about 1903. I think the three are Arthur, Oscor and Elmer. I am adding Elmer to the family and removing Mabel. Dave Howard July 2010
