"CAVE RUN CEMETERY RELOCATION, Rowan Co., KY:
When Cave Run Dam was constructed on the Licking River, the Army Corps of Engineers had the task of relocating some old cemeteries in Bath, Menifee, Morgan, and Rowan Counties.

Rowan Co. was the starting place for the relocation of the old cemeteries. There were 28 old cemeteries moved in this county to Alfrey Cemetery. which is located west of Morehead, Ky. south of Rt. 60 on St. Hwy. 80 1near Scotts Creek."
