- Louisa Folsom Brown was the daughter of William Harrison Folsom, architect of the Salt Lake Tabernacle, and Zerviah Eliza Clark. In 1860 the family crossed the plains in a covered wagon, Louisa walking much of the way. They arrived in Salt Lake October 3, 1860.
Her older sister, Harriet Amelia Folsom, (1838-1910) was one of the wives of Brigham Young.
Louisa and Lorenzo John Brown were the parents of seven children.
