 | Ruchel Sagalovicz on Passenger Manifest for SS Volturno sailing from Rotterdam, Aug 10, 1911 It says that Ruchel Sagalovicz age 19, female, single, tailor, could read and write came from Russia, Hebrew, Russia, Rakow, mother Sosie Sagalovicz, Rakow, of Minsk of Russia, Brother Syra Silai.
Noteworthy is that in October 1913 the Volturno on another passage from Rotterdam caught fire. Thanks to wireless radio most of the passengers were saved. However, about 90 perished. Most of the passengers were Jewish immigrants. |
